Cagayan Valley: Portabaga Falls, Sta. Praxedes

Sta. Praxedes is the first town of Cagayan from the Province of Ilocos Norte. In this town, you will find one of the tallest waterfalls in Cagayan. Portabaga Falls is 41 feet in height and is not that far from the national highway. Actually, you don’t need to trek just to get to this place. I must say that the local government unit of Sta. Praxedes out did themselves for what they did with the place. Portabaga Falls is now a park and a resort. There are cottages, rooms, and even function halls that can be rented.

My favorite part of the place is that there are three manmade pools at the plunge basin of the waterfall, one for kids (with a mini slide) and two for adults. The water flows through these pools, that means 100% no chlorine, and everyone can enjoy swimming with its cold water.

Thank you for reading and I hope you’re going to visit the place someday. Feel free to comment or ask anything about my post. God bless you! 💕
